Already into April

A quick post as I have been mega busy recently.

Training for Cotswold 113 continues with vigour, but I took the decision to move the race from June to the Cotswold Classic on August 31st over last weekend as I have a close family member who is seriously poorly at the moment (my Grandad).

I have been busy on a Level 1 BTF Coaching course over the past two weekends. Truly a great course, led by two wonderful ladies and attended by a fab group of like minded folks, some mega triathletes, others like me, far less Tri inclined or experienced, but seeing the need to coach their Clubs to grow the numbers of participants. Possibly one of the most fulfilling things I have done for a while! Just need to pass the exam and practical in a couple of weeks in May and I will be allowed and qualified to coach 15 BTF sessions across swim, bike and run coaching, or lead a prescribed session from a Level 2/3 Coach….quality! 🙂

The Specialised Shiv is getting fixed after being replaced by Specialized….an issue with the seat post screw mechanism …expecting this back next week.

Did my first 10m TT last week on the A38, got cramp between 2-4 miles and then 7-9 miles which rather ruined the event for me. I cam last but still managed 33mins 34 seconds with not a lot of motivation or effort and a load of single legged cycling to finish, so not the bets, but quite proud I completed and was not a ‘DNF’…..pushed through the pain !  😉

Off to Dubai for some warmth, sun and fun over Easter. Taking my training gear and hoping to get in the sea and pools to practice the new swim position (head down and in the water, properly) at the Coaching course last Sunday. So looking forward to that.

As with all of us, a lot of distractions, but the distractions have been managed (hopefully) so the progress will continue. Still on plan and feeling like I am making progress, now and again!  🙂
