Triathlon Plus Magazine photo shoot

Well, it happened a week or so ago.

5 and a bit hours spent with James Lampard, a true photographic genius and professional.

I wasn’t looking forward to the shoot as I hate pics of myself, but I truely did enjoy the day and the way James worked with me.

He shot a load of shots and these will go into the magazine next month.

I am pleased to say that since I spoke to the journalist I have lost more weight and am still getting fitter. Weight loss is now well exceeding five stone this year and we still have a month to go!

We took shots of me working out with my PT (Jeremy Bingham), shots of me and my bike and also some in the pool and a portrait.

I have never felt like a megastar or model before. It took a while to get used to, but by the end of the day I was a real ‘Diva’ and loved the entire experience. I think it won’t happen ever again, so I apologise for being self indulgent, ………but it really was great!!

The big man in a very cold pool, November 2012, UK

We had planned to use the indoor pool, but James really fancied the outdoor pool, where we had both swam as kids, a long, long time ago.
The moody clouds, bleak landscape and dramatic diving boards, I hope, really bring interest to this shot……..coupled with the fact that my feet went numb with cold for about 14 minutes and then became really warm after this!

Please keep an eye out for the mag and the article. I will post more pics as the magazine is published
